Attention school gardens!

Young people from across the country will be gathering on April 27 for the first-ever virtual school garden tour! Students across the country will share with your students how STEM education, nutrition and environmental literacy, hope and healing are brought to life through outdoor learning.

Join hundreds of schools on April 27 for the first-ever virtual school garden tour and educational broadcast event. Think virtual school assembly…by kids for kids! This event will make stops at seven school gardens from Hawaii to D.C. and connect educators and students across the country to celebrate the power of school gardens! 

School gardens also have an additional opportunity to win weekly drawings for $100 Gardener’s Supply gift cards!

How it Works: 4 Easy Steps!

1 – Register for the Event

Add it to your calendar! This 45-minute video will make for an excellent break in the school day, bringing a
virtual assembly directly to your students. Register and you’ll receive a calendar invite and an Educator’s
Viewing Guide, including a detailed school garden description and a sample lesson plan from each garden

2 – Watch Live on April 27: 10am-10:45am PT (1pm-1:45pm ET)

Join us on April 27 for a live, cross-country celebration of school gardening! Encourage others to join too! For
those who can’t tune in live, the videos will also be available on the Growing School Gardens website
following the event.

3 – Extend the Learning via Extension Lessons

The learning doesn’t stop when the video ends! Visit our Viewer Guide for each activity seen along the garden
tour.

4 – Engage with the Community

Follow the #growingschoolgardens hashtag for inspiration. Enter your own school garden post for a
chance to win support for your garden with weekly giveaways of $100 Gardeners gift card. To enter:
